4 handmade drinks coasters with holder, made from rare African Rosewood with Maple wood inlays. These coasters are chunky in design with each being 1 inch thick giving the set a premium look and feel. All parts have 2 coats of a hard-wearing and environmentally friendly oil (Rubio Monocoat) and cured for 7 days to ensure a strong and clean finish.

African Rosewood has unfortunately been over-farmed in its native Africa and is now protected as a slow but steady regrowth program takes effect. As a result, African Rosewood is the worlds most trafficked wood as it is now seen as exclusive and rare. I managed to get my hands on a small amount of legally imported timber and unfortunately you can immediately see why this wood is highly prized - the natural pink hue of the wood accented by soft swirling grain is quite unique and beautiful. Get these coasters while you can, I don't know when I will get the chance to work with this type of wood again! Each coaster has an inlay of Maple wood in a 1 2 3 4 pattern across the set. This would be a great addition to any home that likes to host and would also make an excellent gift or housewarming present.
Packaging:
I ship my products in high-security dent resistant packaging, so your purchase should reach you looking fresh from the workshop. All my packaging is either made of 100% recycled material, or is 100% recyclable (or both!).
Aftercare:
Wooden products need some TLC compared to plastic products, however with the right care they can last for decades and are much nicer to look at! After use wash gently with warm soapy water and towel dry. Never place the coasters in the dishwasher, and never leave them soaking in water for an extended period of time - both of these actions can result in the removal of the protective finishes. This allows water to reach the raw wood, potentially causing staining, warping, and even splitting. Also make sure to avoid the coasters getting in contact with high heat (such as the bottom of a hot pan) as this can cause scorch marks (a cup of tea would be perfectly fine of course).
